In this lesson students will be able to

- know the structure of future going to: Is am are +going to + infinitive verb and usage
-learn to talk about future plan

Such as: clean, Lao national day, sweep…

1.What does “clean” mean in Lao?.

2.   Show the picture of the director and students are talking about future plan, and  students Eg: who are they in the picture? what are they doing?
3.   Let students repeat short dialog about future plan after the teacher.
4.   Elicit about the structure of the future going to. Eg: do you know the structure of future going to? when do we use future going to.
4 students write their own future plans and tell to class mate

Stage 3: teaching stage
Learning Activities
Activity1: vocabulary
Presents new vocabularies such as clean, plan, comic book, Lao National day,... then do drilling technique and write on the board.
Activity2: listen and repeat
show the picture of the director and students then ask students about the picture then, present short dialogue, students repeat after the teacher.
Dialogue:
Director: good morning, students
Student: good morning, sir
Director: tomorrow is 2nd December, the Lao National Day.
              This afternoon we are going to clean our school.



Activity3: grammar note     present the structure of future going to . and how to use
of each form: Affirmative form, Negative form, Interrogative form and short answer
Activity4: look and say
Look at the work plan and say the sentence to the partner.
Activity5 :Ask and answer
Ask and answer with the partner about work plan
Activity6:read and complete
Complete the sentence by using the verbs in the box .
Teacher check with the whole class
Activity7:Read an match
Read the question and match with the correct answers.
Student work individedly then teacher check the answer with the whole class

Lesson 1 How do I get to the bus station?

Stage 1             Achievement requirement
 Goal
In this lesson students will be able to
-    Ask and give direction how to get to some place.
-    Give direction by using preposition.

Understanding
1. Remember vocabularies of some important place. Such as: bank, hospital, library, bus station, clinic…
2. Students remember and know how to use the preposition that what each prepositions meant to.
Questions
1.  What does “bank” mean in
Lao?
2.  When you want to transfer money where will you go?
3.  Could you tell me “ໂຮງໝໍ” in English?
4.  When people are ill where
Will they go?



5.  Could you tell me “ທັດຈາກ, ຕໍຫນ້າ, ລະຫວ່າງກາງ…” in English?
6.  Teacher ask students in the class?
Eg: 1. where is miss Nola?
    2.where is the board? ,…….?
Knowledge
1.Students will read vocabularies such as across, drink shop, hospital, bus station.
2. students will talk about preposition or practice give direction to classmate by look at the picture in the text book or in the real situation around the class.
Eg: 1.the bus station is next to the bank.

1.  Students practice to read or pronounce the vocabularies correctly (using four techniques of drilling).

Students will practice using each preposition by saying or asking direction to the classmate or partner by

2.teacher explain what is the position mean, what are they? The explain each preposition, then show the picture and elicit students.
Eg: where is the library?
    The library is opposite the school.
3.  Teacher asks student work in pair take turn to ask and give direction.
Eg: student A: where is the chemist?
Student B: the chemist is next to the bank.
4.  Teacher show the picture of three people and setup the situation to  students Eg:who are they ? what are they talking about?  then elicit/ give new word from dialogue then, drill the dialogue line by line.
Choose two strong students to say the dialogue.

Activity1: Vocabulary
Teacher present new vocabularies by showing the picture such as:
Bus station, butcher, post office…and practice to pronounce by using four stage of drilling then write on the board

Activity: look and say
Teacher present and explain about the preposition and how to use
Teacher show the picture and asks students Eg: where is the hospital?
Teacher asks students work in pair take turn to  ask and give direction by using the picture and real situation in the classroom
Activity3: listen and tick
Teacher  show the picture or flip chart then ask students listen to the questions and tick (a) with the correct answer.
Activity4: listen and practice (short dialogue).
·        Teacher show the picture of three people and setup the situation
·        Elicit/ give new word from the dialogue
·        Drill dialogue line by line.
·        Choose two strong students to be model in front of the class.
·        Ask student copy into their note book


Activity 5: listen and complete
Look at the map in exercise 5 listen to the directions and complete the sentence

Activity6: Look and say look at the picture or map in the exercise 5 and ask the partner how to get to these place

Read the text and answer the question
Pre reading
-teacher discuss with the students about special days or on their holiday, where do they like to go/people like to go. until teacher can achieve the target language.
-teacher asks students who have ever been to the zoo before? What can you see and do at the zoo write it out.
-teacher show the picture of special animals such as: Elephant, Monkey, Lion…and leads students drill by using four techniques of drilling then write on the board.
While reading
-teacher ask students read the text to check the words that they have wrote if there is in the text tick(a) if don’t have across(r)
-teacher asks student work in group of 4 to read the text again and answer the questions.

     2.why did they take food with them?
-teacher ask students read the text individually to do activities true or false

Post reading

Set up the situation:
- Teacher discusses with students in what are you going to do today?
-teacher show the picture of (someone) and asks students to guess what is she/ he going to do today?
Introduce new language:
-Teacher presents new vocabularies that teacher has elicited students from the picture, and leads students drill by following four steps of drilling line by line and gives more example sentence beside the sentence from the picture.
